Thailand: The Sleeping Buddha and The Sleeping Cat
When Buddha entered nirvana at the age of 80 years old, he lied by side with his right palm supporting under his head. When Shakyamuni Buddha is in this posture, we call him Sleeping Buddha or Reclining Buddha. When I was in the temple, this sleeping cat lied nicely in front of the altar. What a beautiful coincidence!
