Welcome To The House Mid-Autumn Festival Party

It was mid-autumn festival last Friday. Traditionally, the Chinese would have a family union, eat mooncake, lit the lanterns and enjoy the bright moonlight during this festival. Since everyone of us in D-30-A was apart from our families, so I suggested that we had a housewarming mooncake party. My initial plan was just eating mooncake, playing DotA and chit-chatting among housemates only.

However, they wanted to make it a little bit more than that. So we ended up inviting some friends and made it as a potluck dinner. Everyone contributed and shared some food of their own choice. Here's our sumptuous dinner that night. Two thumbs up! We also had some fruits and junk food brought by our guests.

Food

Of course, not forgetting the yummy mooncakes and chinese tea which are the traditional food of mid-autumn festival. There were 7 mooncakes, consisting of Sushi King's Yuzu and Green Tea Jasmine, 麦可思's Snow Skin Rasberry Cheese, Six Happiness's White Lotus with Black Sesame Paste and Egg Yolk Lotus, 喜月堂's Durian and Tai Thong's Snow Skin Peanut Butter with Yam Custard. Those new flavored mooncakes tasted really good. Kudos to various chinese tea provided by myih too.

The fun part was during DotA session. It was good to have Jatson joining us because he's our DotA sifu. We even played 2 games which were against him but we were busy running away while meeting him face to face in the games because he's the one kept pawning us and beyond Godlike. We learnt some strategies from him though.

A shared wallpaper on myih, lun and my computers to spice up the party.

We all had fun and an enjoyable party. Hope that we could have the same thing next year but, too bad, they are graduating soon. 但愿人长久,千里共婵娟
