India: Asiana Hotel
We had been staying at Asiana Hotel when we were in India. The hotel was located along Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) in Karapakkam, Tamil Nadu. It's quite new and this was the Toyota car that brought us to the office everyday.
A few elephant stone sculptures were lining up in front of the hotel. I think it's Indian's feng shui to have these elephants as I saw them in many other buildings also. Here are some pictures of the hotel lobby. I believe the leaf of Bodhi tree represented something as well.
This was how my room looked like. It costed me Rs. 4800 per day and luxury charge of Rs. 750. A newspaper was delivered to the room doorstep every morning. Housekeeping was done in the morning and evening. Two 500 ml bottled water were provided every day. Nice bed, working desk, Phillips flat panel TV, toilet and even Cisco phone. The good thing was free wifi access and India traveling guide book.
The good facilities provided were gym, swimming pool and spa. I went to the gym twice during my stay there. Nice. Mark got a complimentary Thai massage because he stayed more than 15 days. All these facilities were situated in 5th floor and we could take a view around the hotel.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The only setback was electricity blackout which happened for more than one time. Although it's only a very short while but they should try to prevent it.
P/s: Sony Alpha Roadshow is running at Mid Valley Megamall from Wednesday 9th to Sunday 13th Jan. Don't miss it. The Alpha.
