Firefox 3 Download Day

Back in my university years, I always wondered why MMU students liked to organize those looooooooongest events, let it be longest debate, longest dodol cooking session, longest kebab and many more. These events looked meaningless and sapped plenty of resources. However, something proud about them is they broke new records, either in Malaysia Book of Records or Guinness World Records. If you want to break record and in an easy way, download Firefox 3 on Download Day 2008. That's it, so simple!

The target is to break the Guinness World Record for Most Downloaded Software in 24 hours starting from the moment it is released to the public. Firefox 3 RC2 was released a few days ago and the final release will be launched by end of this month. The date is yet to be confirmed and that's the time when we have to click on the Download button.

From the Global Pledge Map, the total pledges is 928,394 at this moment. Out of this total, 4,559 are from Malaysia. I'm proud to be one of them. :D I have joined the Firefox World Record Group at Facebook and added the banner at top left of my blog and I hope you could do the same also. Let's show your support on this great internet browser. If you are wondering what's so great about Firefox 3, watch this Overview of Firefox 3 video. You will be amazed by the improved user experience and new features. BTW, IE 8 will be out in end of the year. There will be another browser war coming.

P/s: Apple iPhone is out of stock because iPhone 3G will be out soon. Check out the update on Apple WWDC08. Get ready to refresh the 3G iPhone Live Blog if you don't want to miss out Steve Jobs keynote at the first place.

I definitely prefer Firefox to IE. 17 hours more to go until the Download Day. Hope you download Firefox 3 on that time too :)
